Can I special order a guitar/ Can you do a certain finish color?
Yes you can special order a guitar or bass direct from us. If you like a particular finish or ageing
level, we can do it. Just contact us and let us know what you are looking for.
How long does it take to get a special order guitar?
It depends on the options and our workload. Right now it takes about 8 - 10 weeks for a normal
order.
How much will a special order cost?
Most special orders will be quoted once we get an idea of what you are looking for.
Can I get an Old Friend that is not aged?
Sure. We can make them look like brand new, completely worn out, and everything in between.
What pickups do you offer with the Old Friend series?
Normally we offer Lindy Fralin pickups, which are our favorites. If you are looking for something
else, or want to supply us with your own vintage pickups, that is great.
What electronics do you use for volume / tone?
The pots we use are CTS audio taper. We use a bleed cap on the volume pots to maintain tone
level through the volume sweep. The tone caps vary by pickup type, but most are Hovland or
Sprague. All wiring is cloth covered wire.
